We're not pretending the city doesn't have problems, or that all of the history is positive. But compare it honestly to other metros, on price, on architecture, on what your money actually buys, and the same conclusion keeps showing up: this place is undervalued.
So we make videos about it. We're a local real estate team sharing what we're learning, digging into the history behind our neighborhoods, block by block. No hype, just the case for the city we love.

More house, more history, and more architecture per dollar than almost any major metro. World-class museums and restaurants. Neighborhoods that were built to last, and did.

Market data comes from MARIS, the regional MLS, pulled by a licensed agent, not from Zillow estimates or headlines. Historical claims get checked against primary sources like newspaper archives, plat maps, and historical society records before they go in a video. We still get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we say so and fix it.

For the most part, everything is done by human.
What AI is used for:
The voiceover is AI. This lets a small team without a radio voice (we tried) publish consistently.
AI is sometimes used like a search engine, to uncover resources and references.
The writing is primarily human. AI is only used for occasional grammar checks or "focus group" style reviews.
What AI is never used for:
No historical images are ever altered, animated, or created by AI.
No video is ever edited or created by AI tools.
We're careful to check everything multiple times, but sometimes things slip through, and we'll always note the correction.

Most videos strive to be under 60 seconds long and told through a real estate lens. That means a video about a person is usually about what they built, bought, or platted, not their whole biography. Leaving something out of a script is a scope decision, not a denial that it happened.
When there's more to the story, we try to point to it in the description or comments, and if we've missed something that changes the picture, tell us. That's what the comments are for. -
Maybe. Send us the neighborhood name and any history you already know, and we'll take a look.
Two things usually decide whether a neighborhood makes it to video:
Images. A 60-second video needs enough usable historical images to carry it, and not every neighborhood has them archived, accessible, or available.
Sourcing. We need at least two independent sources for anything that ends up in the script. Some neighborhoods have a well-documented history; others have a lot of local memory but not much that's written down and verifiable.
If both line up, it's a strong candidate. If they don't yet, it might still happen later. Archives get digitized, and sometimes a tip points us to a source we didn't know existed.

Mostly from the archives. The State Historical Society of Missouri's newspaper collections, the Missouri Historical Society's digital collections, and the Library of Congress. The rest comes from the St. Louis County Library, public domain archives, old publications we dig up, and our own camera. The historical photos themselves are always real, and nothing is presented as archival that isn't.
We try to credit all sources, and only use images that are available for use.
